Arrival
Arrival
In The Arrival the theme is no matter what we choose in life or what life brings to us sometimes we will have a bad outcome. The author in the story made it where sometimes life is not going to be great in what we choose. Basically the characters in the movie had to adapt to the environment of The Arrival. For example, the father of a young girl watched her from a girlhood to transferring to adulthood then later dies.
That is what the author is trying to make us understand that no matter what we do will have some type of bad outcome. A lot of flashbacks and flash forwards happen in the story. Dr. Banks had a flash forward of his daughter telling her ‘’ who’s going to tickle you’’ then later on she dies. Villeneuve compares real life to life in the movie and shows how both of the outcomes can be bad and still we have to adapt to it. No matter what we do in life or what we decide to do life will bring us bad outcomes when we are not expecting them at the moment.
